Hometown Perry, Iowa presents a Community Open House at the Center for Town/Craft on Tuesday, August 7, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The Center for Town/Craft, located in the former First National Bank Building at the corner of Second Street and Willis Avenue, is a collaboration between Hometown Perry, Iowa State University ’s College of Design, and Iowa State University Extension.  Recently renovated, the Center will examine, create and diffuse sustainable futures for the Midwestern small town.  Program plans include conferences on small-town sustainability, design forums, and community history seminars to help towns build a future based on their past.
