Mike Breidenbach will play the Scottish bagpipe in full regalia at 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 26, at the Carnegie Library Museum, 1123 Willis Avenue, Perry. The performance/presentation is free and open to the public. Breidenbach, director of Piping in the Music Department at Macalester College, also will discuss the history of piping. He is associated with Macalester’s bagpipe band, which has a 50-year tradition of playing the highland pipes and drums at public events. The band performed at Perry High School last year.
