Iowa, presents Perry Travelers: The World Through Local
Eyes, at 7 p.m., Monday, June 18, at the
Carnegie
Library
Museum,
1123 Willis Avenue,
Perry. The presentation is free and open to the public.
HPI staff will facilitate a community discussion about
local residents’ vacation experiences to other parts of the country and the
world. Several HPI narrators, those who have completed life history interviews
for the HPI archive, will share their experiences and photos. In addition, all
who plan to attend the presentation are encouraged to bring their own travel
photographs and experiences to share.
Participants may leave travel photos with HPI staffers to
scan and archive. All photos will be returned promptly to the donor after
scanning.
The presentation is part of an ongoing
Carnegie
Library
Museum exhibit called
