Perry Travelers

Hometown Perry, Iowa, presents Perry Travelers: The World Through Local Eyes, at 7 p.m., Monday, June 18, at the Carnegie Library Museum, 1123 Willis Avenue, Perry. The presentation is free and open to the public.

HPI staff will facilitate a community discussion about local residents’ vacation experiences to other parts of the country and the world. Several HPI narrators, those who have completed life history interviews for the HPI archive, will share their experiences and photos. In addition, all who plan to attend the presentation are encouraged to bring their own travel photographs and experiences to share.

Participants may leave travel photos with HPI staffers to scan and archive. All photos will be returned promptly to the donor after scanning.

The presentation is part of an ongoing Carnegie Library Museum exhibit called Perry Travelers located in the stacks. For more information contact HPI at (515) 465-2518.
