The spirit of volunteerism in Perry is as strong as ever.  Hometown Perry, Iowa volunteers learn about the history of the town and serve as ambassadors to our visitors.  As a volunteer, you can be an essential part of making the experience of Hometown Perry, Iowa meaningful and memorable for its visitors.  You can help with activities as diverse as:

  • Guiding visitors through the Carnegie Library Museum
  • Guiding visitors on walking tours of Perry
  • Cataloging items and scanning photos
  • Helping to set up exhibits
  • Answering phone inquiries
  • Helping plan and organize special events and greeting guests
  • Telling your own family’s story
